Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-02-08T23:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
Activity ID: 2024-02-08T23:48:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: S36W100
Active Region Number: 13575
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME with a narrow brighter bulk and a wider asymmetric shock with a more southward direction as compared to the bulk. The source of this CME is an M3.9 class flare from Active Region 13575 (S36W100) peaking at 2023-02-08T23:55Z and the associated eruption seen in SDO AIA 193/171 starting at ~2024-02-08T23:30Z. The eruption is characterized by the opening of field lines and by the post-eruptive arcades seen on or behind the southwest limb. The CME is fully covered by the nighttime data gap in STEREO A imagery.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

One-coronagraph analysis (with SOHO LASCO) of the narrower brighter bulk front of this CME, based on the location of its source - a flare from the Active Region 13575 which rotated behind the limb and was at ~S36W100. No STEREO A imagery is available for this event because of a data gap. |
